About the Role
The DMI International Lead of Data Lake Management will oversee management of Data Lake team located in India, which will collaborate with DMI leaders, technology leaders, corporate functions, and line of business (LOBs) partners to ensure that the data lake infrastructure and operating model meet the business needs of our Client. This role will drive the definition and implementation of business requirements to meet specific business needs.

Responsibilities 
 
 

  • Demonstrate data and technology thought leadership; develop productive business relationships, and build strong sponsorship of our data strategy and roadmap; understand and influence business data strategy, ensuring it is informed by current and emerging technology capability and supported by our architecture and roadmap
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategy to develop, refine and manage the data lake to meet specific business needs using value delivery approach and phased priority (e.g., regulatory and risk compliance, data domains prioritization)
  • Act as a catalyst to socialize DMS capabilities, solutions, and data assets to advance the data agenda of the enterprise
  • Define change management strategy to drive the adoption of business data strategy and solutions into LOB processes and behaviors while minimizing disruption to business
  • Responsible for leading large and complex team impacting all Lines of Business, Corporate Finance, Risk and Regulatory functions
  • Recruit and develop high performing senior managers to stand up organization; attract, and sustain elite talent, build collaborative high performing teams, and foster culture of excellence 
  • Provides leadership for related internal as well as industry activities 
  • Exercises the usual authority of a manager and is responsible for the management of individuals and matrixed teams focused on report documentation activities

 

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering
  • 15+ years of data management/technology experience in one or more of the following functional areas: data/technology strategy, business technology solutions, data warehousing, architecture and systems integration 
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in building and leading critical teams

 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Expertise knowledge of data management and data warehousing technologies
  • Experience with data management best practices and disciplines including data governance, business architecture, data quality, analytics and BI
  • Knowledge and practical implementation experience of data overlap across finance, risk, capital and regulatory functions
  • Knowledge of enterprise data warehousing and technologies such as Hadoop, Teradata, Aster, Data Lake, and Oracle
  • Broad financial expertise with knowledge of corporate affairs, financial and product fundamentals, and business policies, products, processes, systems, and roles.
  • Experience creating strategic plans for enterprise wide business initiatives
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence technology and business executives
  • Ability to understand business processes and/or objectives to enable successful implementation of documentation activities and identification of future efficiencies
  • Proven track record of leadership overseeing multiple managers of large teams with diverse and complex areas of accountability
  • Experience defining, documenting, and implementing business requirements, policies, procedures and processes
  • Capacity to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Proven ability to develop and manage relationships across Lines of Business and support functions
  • Experience presenting to operating committee members, boards and on industry forums
  • Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and internal audit assessments 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Driven, confident, organized and an accomplished problem solver
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
